I’m addicted to Google I recognize it. Here are some of the reasons that made me realize that.
You know you’re a googleholic when:
- A friend calls you to do mean things and you answer: “Dude, don’t do evil”
- You can’t remember you mom’s birthday, Google Calendar notifies you when is it.
- You wait until late night to see what will happen to the Tea-house Fox in the iGoogle theme.
- You feel excitement (like butterflies in your stomach) when the Reader highlights yellow with recent news.
- You archive, don’t delete.
- You don’t do long codes anymore, just search them in Google Code.
- People look at you weirdly when you say something like: “why file messages when you can just label them”.
- You just wish that you could google your car keys when they get lost.
- You imagine yourself in a plane bombing everything when you’re in Google Earth (and do plane noises).
- You don’t know how did people find directions before Maps.
- You remember that you once used something called Word, or Excel and you carried your documents in floppy disks.
- You don’t know where your pictures are, Picasa does.
- Your notebook is not necessarily a real notebook.
- If the Internet is gone… oh! I just don’t even want to imagine that.
- You cannot imagine the world without Google Search.
- Your best friends are in Google Groups and AdSense represents your main income.
- You know the Bible really means: “And God created Google, he saw that it was good, and then he rested”
- You try google subdomains to see if there’s a new app coming. (like google.com/timemachine)
- You are still waiting for GDrive.
- You give 20% time-off to do something else (I know: is just procrastination).
- You can’t remember the last time you answered “Yes” to the old question: Do you… Yahoo?.
- You’re Feeling Lucky.
